Dear Aldersgate Community,
The Aldersgate Chrysalis Steering Committee is asking for your assistance. During the week prior to this past Thanksgiving, the Chrysalis trailer was stolen from the property of Crystal River United Methodist Church where our current flights are being held. Not only was the trailer taken, but all of the materials used to conduct the flights for our youth were stolen. The trailer was secure, but the locks were cut. The tires had just been changed. Needless to say we are heart-broken. A police report has been filed with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Department and an ongoing investigation is still being conducted into the theft.
We are reaching out to our brothers and sisters in the hopes that you can assist in replenishing the supplies needed to conduct our next flight which will be held at the end of July. You can help in either of two ways: monetarily through your agape donations (which will be used to purchase our supplies) or through the donation of actual needed supplies. A list has been attached.
Items to be donated can be given to your local board reps or brought to any of the upcoming walks. Be sure to mention that it is for Chrysalis. We are praying and hoping that we will recover some of the items.
Frank Pifer, Chrysalis Secretary, has been looking at local flea markets and scouring the newspapers and eBay just in case something shows up. The items will be of no use to anyone else but to the team members, the materials made the flights successful and memorable for our youth. We are also in need of approximately 70 types of Agape for our July Boy’s flight. Consider working the flight for the weekend or as a day angel. You will be blessed.
Should you have any questions, feel free to contact Frank Pifer via email or at the church office. His email is: fpifer@hotmail.com. The church number is (352) 795-3148. Thank you in advance for all that you do to support our community and programs.
